I was reading about cross processing earlier and thinking about shooting a role of film just to see what kind of results I get. Then I came across an article explaining how to do cross processing in Photoshop.
Can we clarify something here: you can't cross process in photoshop - it's a film developing process. You can mimic the results, but if so, please don't act like it's the same thing.
In any case, at the end of this little tutorial, the author said that you can add a film frame to your photo to make it .. well basically look cooler than it is.
This angered me. I mean, as if it's not bad enough that people just use photoshop techniques to make sub-par photos look like something interesting, people actually add on fake film edges?? Seriously?! Get a freaking life. And if you like the look of film edges/film or darkroom techniques, TRY USING ACTUAL FILM.
So yea, this is one of my slides that I took with my Nikon FM-10, which I am appreciating more and more, then I took another picture of it using my point and shoot digital. It's an experiment and I will probably play around with it more, pairing up slides with different backgrounds.
